Thank You Cards

My son needed a few more thank you cards to send out for his graduation gifts. I wanted to make them more manly, so I chose the bird from Nature Walk. I also used the new textured Impressions folder Houndstooth this added to be more masculine. I colored the bird with our Stampin' Pastels and the blender pens. A few people thought it must have taken me a very long time to color the bird, but it didn't. I just but the color Riding Hood Red or Pacific Point where the darker spots were and then used Chocolate Chip to fill-in around it. I think it turned out perfect for what I wanted.

This is the card done with Pacific Point.

This one is Riding Hood Red.

SUStars Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog. This is the first time that I have participated in a blog hop. If you are on the blog hop you should have come from Denise Foor Studio PA. I'm sure you enjoyed her blog. If you just came across my blog and you would like to start at the beginning go to SUStars Home Blog . I have two cards for you today. The first one I got the idea from a fellow demonstrator at last weeks Stampin'Up!'s convention during the make-n-take session. I got her card, but I accidentally washed it. Sorry,  I wanted to give her credit. I redisgned the card, but kept the shaker contents, I thought the contents would be perfect for manly thank you cards. Hope you like.

This card uses the DSP paper Well Worn. I have fallen in love with this DSP. The saying comes from "Full of Life". I also used the new textured impressions "Houndstooth". The card stock is Cajun Craze.

Here is the second card. I had to go with a happy birthday card since I just had my birthday on the 21st.

This card uses the stamp sets "Sweet Centers" and "Not So Seriously". I used the Stampin' Pastels to color the dogs. I did eat some of the Nerds candy,I had to make sure it was good enough for Stampin'Up! treat cups. We also have heart treat cups.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and that you will stop by often. Please join my followers, I would love to hear from you. Have a fun time on the rest of the blog hop. Your next stop will be Monica Weavers blog. I'm sure you will enjoy her blog Add a Little Dazzle . If you want to start from the beginning go to SUStars Home Blog .

Birthday Card

Yesterday was my Birthday, 46 years old. We had banana splits instead of cake, so we wouldn't warm up the house. They were delicious. My 15 year old daughter, Kassey made me this great birthday card. I think I might just have to copy it. I told only a few more years and she can sign-up to be a Stampin'Up! demonstrator.

I think she is very talented.

I just got back from convention and had a Great Time!! I was able to room with two of my favorite stamping friends, DeeDee and Debbie. We met  while volunteering at the the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House with Stampin'Up! We have had tons of fun at convention. We got to stamp, see new products, and so much more. Here are a few pictures of convention fun.

These are some of the flowers that were created to help decorate the convention. The theme was GROW. These flowers took eight sheets of cardstock to make.

This is the Halloween and Fall area it made me think of the crisp air during fall. I was wishing that we had leaves that turned color and fell in California. There are a few trees, but not many.

This bike is so cute. It had decorations all around it and card samples above it. Stampin'Up! does great at decorating. I can't imagine how many hours it took to do all that they did.

This is Debbie one of my roommates and friends. She brought her decorated hat for the kick-off party. Below are some of the other hats that were made by creative demonstrators.

These were only a few of the hats! So creative.

Convention Swaps

I am just about ready to go to convention, still need to pack! I get to share a room with two of my stamping buddy's that I met through our Ronald McDonald charity. We will have a great time. I also get to be a make-n-take helper this year. It will be my first time. Below I have some of my swaps for convention.

This card is using the stamp set Greeting Card Kids. I love this stamp set it is so cute!

This is the stamp set Lovely as a Tree. The DSP paper is from Well Worn it is a favorite of mine now. I love the way it looks. This DSP set has a ton of paper that works perfect for more manly cards.

This is a new set that I earned from Stampin'Up! for my sales during Sale-A-Bration. It is Not So Seriously it has some great sayings. You will have to check it out. Some of  you will love this set. I will try to upload another photo before I leave for Convention. I will have tons to show after convention.
