Strength and Hope Card Swaps

These are some of the cards that were made from a card swap with the Stamp Set Strength and Hope. This stamp set will be available for purchase starting May 1st. Stampin'Up! is donating $2 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) for every stamp set or digital kit that is sold. 

This card was made by Jill Nolan, she has a great website check it out, www.jilli.typepad.com. I love how she made the butterfly with a window sheet.

This card was made by Vonnie Riehle. I love the rhinestones on the embossed flowers.

This card was made by Mary A Becker. I like this fold and how it opens up, inside this card is the word stamp.

This is the card that I made. I used the vintage wallpaper, the opposite way that it is normally used. Before embossing I randomly stamped the very vanilla cardstock with the butterfly stamp in Certain Celery and Pink Pirouette. Only a few days left and you will be able to order this set.

Tri-Shutter Card

This card has been in the making for a whole year, sort of. My friend Ruth came to a class last year to make this card, but also had some picture cards she needed made right a way. So we worked on those cards. We just got back to this card, since she wanted to send it to her mother for her birthday this week. The stamp set we used for the bird is from the stamp set Friends 24-7. We also used stamps from On Your Birthday. The butterfly is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Bliss. 

The  Designer Series Paper is discontinued, but worked perfect for what Ruth wanted to create.

I think Ruth did an awesome job! I love how this card is. I think I will be making more of these Tri-Shutter Cards real soon.

Updated Baby Scrapbooking Page

Jeanne finished the introduction page of the baby scrapbook. She takes much better pictures than I do. This looks great.

First Embroidery Project

I made this table topper for a Great Friend and Stamper, Katie. Katie loves John Deere Tractors and collects all kinds of John Deere items. Her kitchen is decorated with John Deere so I thought this would be a good gift for her birthday. I still have to work on her Christmas Present,  a little behind. I was so glad that I found a tractor pattern to download for this table topper. This is the first time I have used my new sewing machine to embroider. I'm  hoping to combine Stampin'Up! items with embroidering. I especially love the thought of combining our material and embroidering, What do you think?

Baby Scrapbooking

Today Jeanne and I were able to get together and work on a baby album about her soon to be nephew. Jeanne wanted to create an album that would be ready, so all mom and dad have to do is add the pictures. We got a great start. Here are a couple pages that we did today.

This is the first page and is an introduction to baby Grant. We used Wild Wasabi and some retired colors and a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit.

This page worked perfect with the Button, Button stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  We used the colors Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip, and Baja Breeze. We also used the Sweet Buttons Embosslits to add to the button effect. Below is a closer view. It was fun creating these pages and others. Jeanne is well on her way to having her Scrapbook gift done.

Yes, there are also a variety of real buttons too. Cute as a Button!

Last 2 Swaps with Four Frames

These are the last two swaps that I received with my swap. I did get some others with another stamp set, but those you will have to wait and see at a later time, Can't show those yet.

This card was made by Annie Emmerich. I would not have thought about a baby card. I like what she did, the DSP Elegant Soiree goes perfect for a little boy.

This card was made by Suzanne Rhyne. I was worried that this print would be to large, but I love it! A simple card, but very elegant.

 Spring is Blossoming Promotion Flyer

This beautiful card was made by Stephanie Flath. I love the colors Concord Crush, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White. The rhinestones add a nice touch.

This card was made by Annie Emmerich. She used Peach Parfait, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, and Early Espresso colors.

I love the colors in this card, at first I didn't like this paper, but now I love it. This card was made by Janice Rosenthal Rock check out her blog Bella Cosa . She has some great cards and a nice handmade holder for the embossing folders. She used Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, and Not Quite Navy Colors.
