Thank you for hopping today with us, Hopping Just for the Fun of it. Today's theme is ALL HOLIDAYS, meaning just that, we all need to have cards ready for just that special holiday ahead of time or maybe we will have a test card first, before making all the cards needed for the holiday... Plan on visiting us each month, the next hop will be the first Saturday of the Month.
You may of came today from Stop # 4, The Creative Stamptuary. I happen to be Stop # 5 of 18 stops along the way this month. I have two Christmas Cards to share with you. I love how both turned out.
For my first card I used the stamp set Lovely as a Tree. I wanted the trees to look wintery, but using just the white embossing powder was way to overwhelming. I decided to try mixing white embossing powder with dazzling diamond glitter. It worked beautifully. I used Chocolate Chip Craft ink to stamp and emboss my "mixture". The DSP is from the Letters to Santa Collection. I can't forget the great Scallop Polka Dot ribbon in Chocolate Chip.
All of my Christmas Stamp-A-Stackers loved this card.
Here is a close-up of the trees, you can see the glitter a little bit better in this picture.
My second card uses the stamp set "Winter Post", Bashful Blue card stock, DSP from the Beau Chateau Collection, Scallop Trim Border punch, and the texurizing was done using the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Embossing folder. The shaker was created using Stampin'Up!'s New Mica Flakes and Shaker Frames from the New Holiday Mini.
Thanks for stopping by, like what you see follow me.
Don't forget we love comments if possible. To continue the hop, the next Stop # 6, is Stamin Ldyglfr62 . I am sure you will enjoy her project this month.
