This Christmas and New Year has been calm, but busy. We had 18 relatives here for Christmas Day. It was relaxed and easy, but some of us were still getting over the "Coughing Cold". We had many handmade gifts this year which was very nice. I have been discussing with my Children that I would like us to get back to where we were a few years ago. We would focus on helping out some organization for Christmas and giving to it. They agreed that they would like to have that be the focus more like in the past. They also liked the handmade gifts. My youngest Kassey wrote a poem for her sister and put pictures all around it of the two of them and then framed it. It was so nice. Both girls got creative and made frames for their Girl Cousins. Rachel, the oldest, had recently gone to Disneyland with her cousin, so she had a Disney theme it turned out real cute. I had found some memo boards with slots for pictures, so that became my parents gifts, of course there were pictures of the grand kids. I love what my son did for me, a gift of 8 back rubs, he does a great job when he wants to. Lastly, I was way excited that my husband put together a PowerPoint DVD of our 20Th Anniversary trip, a cruise to Alaska and our Family's first trip, and probably last to Hawaii. He did such a great job! Thank you Honey.
After Christmas we had a party with over 75 relatives for my Grandfather's 90Th birthday. It was a huge hit. Kassey made a PowerPoint of his life from birth to now. My Aunt Nancy got her the pictures and then she put it together with music. It was great.! We need to make copies now for many of the family members.
We are trying to get our minds ready for school and work again on Monday, but it seems like the "Coughing Cold" has struck Aunt Nancy, Grandpa, and me again. So we have been sleeping more than usual.
