Today I went to stamp at the Ronald McDonald House, it is a Stampin'Up! volunteer group. We bring items for the people staying at the house to stamp to give them a release and a little free time. Sometimes it is moms, dads, children, brothers, sisters, and even the grandparents that come to stamp it is free for them and it really seems to help. So many have said thank you so much. It is nice to be a part of helping others. Stampin'Up! also has one stamp set a year that $2 per sale of that set goes to the RMH. This years set is Say it with scallops $19.95 it is featured on the inside backcover of the new Spring-Summer Idea Book & Catalog. They also donate a minimum of $100,000 each year. I'm so glad that Stampin'Up! Chooses to do great things for others like this.

These are two of the cards I designed for the day. The first card sample uses the stamp set "Fresh Cuts" with clear embossing powder on glossy card stock with More Mustard Craft ink. The second one uses tempting turquoise and the stamp set "Flight of the Butterfly"

Valentine Ideas, Too Cute!!

I'm having fun with the top notch die cut that goes with our big shot. I saw this from an Udderlyawesome group member, but my original got deleted before I wrote down the name of the great creater that I cased. The heart is from the stamp set "A Little Something", a level 2 hostess set. This is in the new catalog that starts tomorrow. Monday, 19th at noon. Yippee!!

I am loving this Love Ya Much stamp set. This is a cute little project for Valentine's Day, You can fill it with mini M & M 's I heard that there are Valentine ones, but I have not found them yet.

If you want this pattern e-mail me and I'll send it to you. I don't know how to put it on the site, still learning.

Baby food container for Valentine

Today Deborah and I got together and played around with different Valentine Ideas. I have tons of plastic baby food containers and wasn't sure what to do. Deborah came up with this idea. I think it will be adorable for Valentine's day. My girls will want to give them out. We used some of Stampin'Up!s new stamps, designer paper, and of course the new three heart punch. Quick, easy, and fun.

My Special For Valentine Bundle

If you order the Valentine Bundle by Jan. 17th then you can come to my FREE Class on Jan 31, with your Valentine Bundle supplies. The Valentine Holder and the 3 x 3 Cards are one of the items we will be making. I saw this card holder on Becky Roberts blog.

Valentine Bundle Samples

Valentine Bundle samples, I think these will be perfect for Valentine's Day. I just need to figure out how many I need. I love how the stamp fits perfect with the scallop circle punch.

I love this card using the Love You Much stamp set, Heart Punch, and Candy Cane Designer Series Paper all from the Valentine Bundle. This card also used the scallop edge punch. It didn't take long to make it. Check out the Valentine Bundle Special here
http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Valentines_Bundle_1208US.pdf You won't want to miss out on this.

I was playing around with the Valentine Bundle and saw a sample similar to this on splitcoast and copied it. I hope you like it. The punch on the whisper white card stock is using the scallop edge punch. I never thought of using it like this.

Christmas and New Year

This Christmas and New Year has been calm, but busy. We had 18 relatives here for Christmas Day. It was relaxed and easy, but some of us were still getting over the "Coughing Cold". We had many handmade gifts this year which was very nice. I have been discussing with my Children that I would like us to get back to where we were a few years ago. We would focus on helping out some organization for Christmas and giving to it. They agreed that they would like to have that be the focus more like in the past. They also liked the handmade gifts. My youngest Kassey wrote a poem for her sister and put pictures all around it of the two of them and then framed it. It was so nice. Both girls got creative and made frames for their Girl Cousins. Rachel, the oldest, had recently gone to Disneyland with her cousin, so she had a Disney theme it turned out real cute. I had found some memo boards with slots for pictures, so that became my parents gifts, of course there were pictures of the grand kids. I love what my son did for me, a gift of 8 back rubs, he does a great job when he wants to. Lastly, I was way excited that my husband put together a PowerPoint DVD of our 20Th Anniversary trip, a cruise to Alaska and our Family's first trip, and probably last to Hawaii. He did such a great job! Thank you Honey.

After Christmas we had a party with over 75 relatives for my Grandfather's 90Th birthday. It was a huge hit. Kassey made a PowerPoint of his life from birth to now. My Aunt Nancy got her the pictures and then she put it together with music. It was great.! We need to make copies now for many of the family members.

We are trying to get our minds ready for school and work again on Monday, but it seems like the "Coughing Cold" has struck Aunt Nancy, Grandpa, and me again. So we have been sleeping more than usual.
