Christmas Cards from Swap # 1

Here are the first set of cards that I got back from my mail swap, Christmas Cards. Most of the cards you will see are from carry over list, they are still available. They are shown on line, but are not shown in the catalog.  The Holiday Mini has not come out yet not until late August. I will be posting more Christmas Cards.

Black and White Card Swap

For this card swap only Basic Black and Whisper White were allowed to be used. It is interesting to see how everyone does different cards with only the Basic Black and Whisper White. I just received my swaps, so I will be showing you many different black and cards.

The Designer Series Paper is from the pack Back to Black, Papillion Potpourri and Thank You Kindly stamp set. The butterflies were punched out with the Elegant Butterfly, for the large butterflies and the Small Butterfly punch. The black strip was embossed with the Woodgrain textured.

Masculine Card Swap

This is the card that I made for my masculine swap. The stamp sets used are World Map and Traveler.  The only colors used are Basic Black and Whisper White, I liked the crispness of it. The button is from the Silver Basic Metal Button pack. The button is tied with the Basic Black Baker's Twine. I don't think you can see in the picture, but the black strip on the bottom is embossed with the embossing the folder Arrows Texture.

New Stamp Set Swap

This is my card for the New Stamp Set Swap. I used the Hostess Set Nuts about You. It is so cute and fun. You can only get this set by hosting a party Or you can order enough just by yourself to make a party. ( I tend to do that, way too many times).

The ink colors used in this card are Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Baked Brown Sugar, and Real Red. I was able to cut all the circles out by using the  Circle Framelits and my Big Shot. I used the Designer Series Paper Maritime for the background. The little pearls were used for an embellishment on the trees. The tree made me think of apple blossoms.

My Christmas Card Swap

I few weeks ago I participated in a mail swap for cards and card fronts. I usually go to convention and swap with other demonstrators, but this year I wasn't able to go, so I did a mail swap.  I will be posting what I made for the swaps plus what I get back.

This is the Christmas swap that I made. I used the stamp set Ornament Keepsakes. After stamping the ornaments I heat embossed them with the clear embossing powder. I love that our ink pads let us heat emboss. The pads dry a little slower, so you can heat emboss. That means we can heat emboss with all of the Stampin’Up! Colors, Way cool.

The ink color used is Blackberry Bliss it is one of the the New In Colors. The In Color Satin Stitched Ribbon in Hello Honey .The Designer Series Paper is from the Moonlight Designer Series Stack. I love the Designer Series Stacks for classes and parties. The Stacks have 48 sheets in each stack 4 each of 12 double-sided designs 4 1/2" x 6  1/2"  just seems to make it easier to cut for all my cards. What made this card even easier is the Holiday Ornaments framelits that go with the stamp set, so you can cut the ornaments out with your Big Shot, not by hand.
