Wildflower Meadow

I am loving this background stamp. It can be used in so many different ways. I never thought I would fall in love with a this stamp. It is so easy to stamp and then line-up the matching embossing folder right over the image. This card was quick and simple. I used the New InColor Crisp Cantaloupe inked up the whole stamp. Then ran it through the Big Shot. The base of the card also is Crisp Cantaloupe. I used the embossing folder Modern Mosiac to give the card some more dimension. The ribbon is the Whisper White 5/8 in. Organza . I love this ribbon because I can use our markers and color the inside of the ribbon any color I want. For this card I used Basic Black.
Let me know what you think.

Another of Kassey's Thank You Cards

This is another thank you card that Kassey made. This card uses the bird from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set. The main color she used is Island Indigo. The DSP unfortunately is retired, sorry, but we do still have the Crochet Victoria Trim. I love this trim. I am creating a card right now for a convention swap that uses it. I am inking it up with the new Crisp Cantaloupe, to give it a different look and color. It is turning out beautiful. I will post in a few weeks.

Wildflower Meadow Number Two

I enjoyed making a few cards with "Wildflower Meadow" set this is the second card that I made. I think this is a beautiful card. This card is a C.A.S.E. from I believe her name is Diane, on Splitcoaststampers. I used slightly different colors, but it is so beautiful.

The technique on this card is called emboss resist. That is when you emboss the cardstock with clear embossing powder, heat emboss. Then use a sponge and ink the colors you want. I used Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, and Gumball Green. Then take a napkin and wipe off the ink on the embossed  images. It is beautiful and just pops. This card is Kassey's favorite on that I have made so far.

I Got to Play

I finally got to make some cards with my new stamps, Yippee! I used the background stamp "Wildflower Meadow". I had a great time stamping again. With the move, Kassey's graduation, and now Rachel's wedding. I haven't been able to do much stamping. I am now setting aside time to make sure I stamp. I need that time to refresh and relax. Here is one of the cards I completed. I went to Splitcoaststampers to get ideas and get my brain thinking. I CASED some and created my own with some of the ideas I saw.

On this card I used Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green markers for the darker flowers and stems. Then I scribbled the marker on the outside of the clear mount stamp case and used a blender pen for the lighter flowers. The thank you is from the stamp set "Itty Bitty Banners" I cut it out using the Frame Lits "Bitty Banners" the flowers were cut out using the Frame Lits "Apothecary Accents" . The card base was embossed using the matching embossing folder "Wildflower Meadow" you can buy the stamp set and embossing folder in a bundle. Too much fun!

Trying to get Organized

I moved from a larger home with more storage to a smaller home, not much, but a lot less storage. We have looked like we be long on the hoarders tv  shows. I have finally gotten most of the living space straightened up. Now I hope to have a lot less bruises on my legs from walking into things. One item we have a ton of are pictures. I decided to decorate a few photo boxes to go with my room that is yet to come. I am making a rag quilt, it will be my second, that has roses all over in different flannel prints. I hope to finish it this summer it will only have taken me three years to  finish. I started with a plain white photo box and them stamped with a retired stamp set "Roses in Winter" with my craft pads. I didn't think that one all the way through. It was not heat seating well in a few places. Then I had a thought "Heat Embossing". I used Stampin'Up!'s Clear Embossing powder. Problem solved, just took awhile longer than I was thinking it would take. Here are my before and after pictures.

These will look nice when I get the rest of the room done.
