I had so much fun creating this wreath. I wasn't sure what I was going to do exactly, I had seen a paper wreath with the paper rolled into a cone shape. So off I started. I took the gorgeous designer series paper Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut it into 5 x 5 squares 16 of them then rolled them into cones. I think that was the hardest part.
I cut out a scalloped circle with the Big Shot out of a cereal box, cardboard, to hot glue the cones onto. I first arranged them how I thought they would look good. Then hot glued them once I had the order I liked.
Once I had that part it was play time. I took our Silver Foil Sheets and Silver Glimmer Sheets and ran them through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die. I wasn't sure if I liked the Silver Foil sheet, I wanted more bling. So I went with the Sliver Glimmer Sheets.
I started playing around with items I had around my crafting area to see what I could add. I used some stems with white little balls. I wanted the middle to have a little shimmer so I used some white tulle and a scallop circle out of Island Indigo, attached to another cardboard sheet. The tulle was attached with a hot glue gun. I used the shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol and sprayed it on to the Island Indigo. On top of the Island Indigo scallop I mounted a snowflake from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set. It is heat embossed on cardstock vellum with silver embossing powder. I also added a few rhinestones. Then I noticed I needed something behind the cones. I decided to add white tulle to it. I used another, scallop circle to hot glue on the tulle.
Now, for the back to cover it and a way to hang it up. I used an old CD covered it with Island Indigo and punched two holes through it. Put ribbon through to be my holder.
It is now ready to be hung up. It looks beautiful on my door, there is colored glass in our door and the wreath is right over a section of blue glass. This is what it looks like when the sun shines through.
